    The School Committee will be hosting a public input meeting at each of our district schools once during the school year. Typically it will take place on the second meeting of the month. Parents and community members from each of our towns are invited to learn about school programs and visit the other school buildings.

 

    The meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, 9/18/07, will take place at Donaghue School in Merrimac on Locust Street at 7:30pm. A twenty (20) minute tour of the facility will start the meeting followed by a presentation on the district’s Professional Learning Communities initiative. I will overview the purpose and goals of PLC’s which will be followed with a presentation by Donaghue Principal Rob Harrison and his fourth (4^th) grade team modeling the work of a PLC in action.

 

    The meeting will conclude with an open question and answer period for approximately 30 minutes about any topic concerning our schools and end around 9:00pm. I hope you can attend. Please plan to bring along a friend and/or neighbor to learn about our schools.
