March 9, 2010	Yearbooks are on sale now through April 1 only. Don't miss this opportunity to purchase a "picture" history of your middle school years. Your homeroom teachers have order forms.
March 8, 2010	If you are interested in Summer Art Theatre or Music classes, please see Mrs. Moore during Skills. Any students interested in playing Intramural Floor Hockey please see Mr. Leonard ASAP to sign up. Tomorrow is Twin Day! You and a friend can dress the same and actually look like twins. Just remember you have to keep it in dress code appropriate.
March 2, 2010	The yearbook meeting scheduled for today has been moved to Thursday, March 4. Please meet in the computer lab Thursday after school. The Percussion Ensemble "B" group, under the direction of Mr. Dumas, will meet today for only a half hour. Rehearsal will be from 2:30-3:00. There will be a Student Council meeting in Room 610 after school today. We are holding our first Operation Pentucket Cares Meeting in the Cafeteria this Tuesday after school. Late busses available or parents can pick up at 3:15. If you signed up to help with OPC as part of your Community Service, please try your best to attend the meeting Tuesday!
March 1, 2010	Sign-ups for the 2010 Babe Ruth Baseball season will be held this Thursday, March 4, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Groveland Town Hall. It is open to all residents of the Pentucket District between the ages of 13 - 18. Spirit week will be the same week as March Madness. Stay tuned!
February 24, 2010	The March dance is cancelled due to conflicts with other events. March Madness is a student/teacher basketball game. It will be held on Thursday, March 11, here at the Middle School gym with a free throw contest to be held first. Please stop by the Main Office to pick up a signup sheet. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $3.00.
February 22, 2010	Reminder to student council officers, you will have a lunch meeting with Mrs. Sanford today. Also, ALL student council members, please attend tomorrow's very important meeting. Officer Dwyer will be joining us to discuss the bullying program development.

February 4, 2010	The Math Team will practice after school today in Room 304. The Essex Aggie PowerPoint presentation is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 5, at 8:00 a.m. Teams will be called to the auditorium. Attention all Peer Leaders: There will be a mandatory meeting for all Peer Leaders in Room 507 today (Thursday) after school.  Pentucket High School Boys Basketball Youth Night is this Friday, Feb. 5, in the Pentucket High School Gym. Varsity game vs. Newburyport is at 6:30 and JV game vs. Newburyport is at 5:00. All boys playing youth basketball in Merrimac, Groveland, and West Newbury are invited. Free admission for all youth players (wear your youth basketball shirt and get in free) Meet the varsity players after the game and get an autograph signing!

December 15, 2009	There is a yearbook staff meeting after school today, Dec. 15. Please meet in the Computer Lab. Check out the exciting programs at the Langley Library in Groveland. A list of upcoming events is posted on the windows of the Main Office. Reminder to all students who signed up for the Talent Show tryouts today, please report to the auditorium immediately after school. There is still plenty of room for talent if you have not signed up yet. Stop into the office and pick up an application and show off your talent!

December 7, 2009	Community Service will start to collect unwrapped toys for the Boys and Girls Club of Salisbury. Please help our neighbors this year. Starting Wed., Nov 18 to Dec 10., the Homeroom that collects the most toys wins a Pizza Party! Drop-off boxes are in  the main lobby. Pentucket has talent! Show off your talents at the Talent Show on Jan. 15. Tryouts will be Dec. 15 and 17 from 2:30-5:00 in the auditorium. Please pick up an application in the Main Office. Any appropriate talents should try out. Today is the last day to buy candy canes from Peer Leaders. You can send them to your friends and/or teachers, so don't miss out on this opportunity!
November 30, 2009	Peer leaders will hold their annual candy cane sale. The candy cane sale will be for 1 week only, starting Nov. 30 to Dec. 4. Candy canes will sell for 50 cents each. November 24, 2009	Members of the Math Team should stop by Room 304 today to pick up permission forms for next week's meet. Only guitar players should attend Jazz Band tomorrow (Wed) morning. No woodwind lessons. To day is Picture Retake day. Thank you to all who brought a canned good to last Friday's dance. 293 cans were collected and brought to Our Neighbor's Table food bank in Amesbury!
November 17, 2009	There will be NO Math Team practice this week. Math Team members should stop by Room 304 to pick up the Arithmetic and Algebra study packets. Monday, Nov. 23, is PRMS Mandees Pizza Night! Our PTO is sponsoring a fundraiser, and our school will receive 15% of all sales next Monday night! So let Mandees cook dinner next Monday as we all get ready for Thanksgiving! To all Peer Leaders: there will be a meeting during Skills on Wed., Nov 18, in Room 507. November 13, 2009	We have a yearbook cover winner! The yearbook staff would like to thank all 16 cover artists. Each one of you is very talented. The 2009-2010 yearbook cover winner is Danielle Engelke. Congratulations Danielle!
November 12, 2009	There will be NO Chorus Friday, Nov. 13 and Mon. Nov. 16. Portrait retakes will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 24. The Math Team will practice after school today in Room 304. Tomorrow is Patriots Day at the Middle School! Wear your NE Patriots attire to support the Patriots against the Colts on Sunday. Tech Club will run from 2:15-3:15. Permission slips must be turned in to the Main Office. Any students that missed the signups for 7th and 8th grade Pentucket Youth Basketball Intramurals can pick up registration forms in the Main Office. The deadline for registering is Friday, Nov. 13. All Middle School students are welcome to play. Environmental meeting today at 2:15 in the Cafeteria. Contact Mrs. Jones or Mr. Siegfried if you have any questions. November 10, 2009	Thursday, Nov. 12, will be Yearbook Cover voting day. You will be voting for your favorite yearbook cover during lunch. The winning cover will be announced on Friday, Nov. 13. For Student Council members who are participating in the cyber bullying skit: we will be practicing the skit after school on Thursday and Friday of this week.
November 9, 2009	The Recycle Team is able to collect both paper and recyclable containers from our classrooms. Each classroom should have two separate boxes -- one for paper, and one for plastic and cans -- and we ask that you are careful not to mix the two. If your classroom needs an additional recycle bin or has any other question regarding recycling, please have your homeroom representative contact a member of the recycle team or Mr. Siegfried in Room 308. October 26, 2009	New trombone players from "Bring a Friend to Band Day" please come to the auditorium today 2nd period for your lesson. 8th grade girls Basketball tryouts are tonight at 7:15 p.m. in the Middle School gym for traveling team only. Math team members need to return their permission forms to compete in Thursday's meet. Middle School Ski Program registration is Wed., Oct. 28, from 7-8 p.m. Tech Club will begin on November 12. Please join Earthwatch Institute as Pentucket Regional Middle School teacher Mark Worrall and Pentucket Regional High School student Sarah Soucy talk about their recent experiences on Earthwatch expeditions and the community action project they are undertaking in the Pentucket Elementary Schools this fall! September 24, 2009	There will be NO Chorus on Friday morning. For all students running for Student Council, please be sure that Mrs. Cleaver approves your speech before 7th period today. Voting will take place tomorrow immediately following announcements. Winners will be announced during afternoon announcements tomorrow. All students running for Homeroom Rep in rooms 618, 506, 507, and 302 will make their speeches, if they wish, just before voting tomorrow morning during Skills. All speeches must be approved by Mrs. Cleaver.
September 23, 2009	Early Release Day today. There is NO late bus. Anyone interested in the Math Team can stop by Room 304 to pick up information. Because of a coaches meeting, there will be NO math Team practice tomorrow. However, practice packets can be picked up right after school on Thursday. There is a mandatory Newspaper meeting on 9/24, Thursday, in Room 302. All monies, permission slips and recommendations must be submitted by Thursday, the 24th. Thank you! So bring in a postcard book with 10 addresses on Wednesday, Sept. 23, and receive a cell Hoody that could contain CASH or that LIMO LUNCH ticket!
September 18, 2009	Our Magazine Drive is moving to the halfway point! Out top order sellers will be eating free pizza very shortly! Teachers, please forward your collection envelopes to the Main Office by 8 a.m. No one picked the cell phone hoody with the limo lunch ticket! We want a full limo, so we are going to have a second post card collection day next Wednesday, Sept. 23. Stay tuned early next week for details, and keep those orders coming in!!!
