ABC-Clio World Geography... This is a paid subscription for middle school students. To access it, please enter in the Username: pentucket and the Password: pentucket. Students can access it from home and school. It is a great source of information on countries, regions, current world events, etc., and is written in a language geared to students. Also, no advertising annoyances!

World Fact Book...From the CIA World Factbook, this extensive site includes country profiles, maps, flags, geography, climate, and now ranks. The Field Listing feature lets you compare specific information about each country.

MapQuest...This online atlas lets you find any place in the world.  Also includes local towns and cities, driving directions, traffic reports and online maps.
