Kidz Arts with Mia Leonard-Solis!!

KA709: Ages 7-11; July 9-20, 8 a.m. to noon; $265 
Middle School Auditorium

Spend your morning immersed in the creative world of theatre in a well-structured & nurturing environment. Students incorporate original costumes, songs & movement into a fun, process-oriented theatrical production performed on stage during the art, Art and More ART Finale on July 20.

Improv & Comedy Sketches with Kelsey Logan!!

IM709: Ages 12 and up; July 9-20, 

10 a.m. to noon; $185; HS Auditorium 

Find your inner comedian with a Pentucket theatre alum as you explore improv and sketch comedy! Whether you’ve been doing improv your whole life or you just like to watch Saturday Night Live, this class will help you create your own comedic genius through theatre games, character creation, exercises, sketch writing/performance, and much more. This class is a way to have fun and be funny! We will be creating our very own improv and sketch show to perform for the public on the night of July 20th! 

The Art of Musical Theater Singing with Michael Smith!

MTS709: Ages 12 and up; July 9-22, 12:30-2:30; $185
Love musical theater? Always wanted to learn how to sing? Want to improve on what you already know? Learn about the most essential element of musical theater: the voice! Students will work on vocal techniques, proper breathing, diction, projection and best of all, singing. Group and solo performances will be shared at the art, Art and More Art finale. High School

Hip Hop Basics with Terrance Major!

HHB709: Ages 12 and up; July 9-20, 10am-noon; $185
The goal of this class is to introduce the students to the basic moves of hip hop and give them a proper dance foundation.

Classes will cover the fundamentals of hip hop dance: popping, locking, funk, and “crumping”. Each class starts with warm up exercises. A different set of moves will be taught every day and broken down step by step then practiced with music with a fun performance on the night of July 20th at the art, Art and More ART, finale!  High School

Working with Color with Ellen Hart

WWC709: Ages 10 and up; July 9-20; 9am-noon; $220

Experience creating strong vibrant artwork using Oil Crayon, Oil Paint and Acrylic paints. Week one students will create an oil painting on stretched canvas. Week two will explore using Acrylic paint and oil paint bars on canvas and untraditional surfaces. Works will be displayed at art, Art and More ART exhibit!  $25 materials fee payable to instructor on the first day of class.

Watercolors with Ellen Hart

WP709; Ages 12 and up; July 9-20; 12:30-2:30pm; $185

In the French tradition of painting 'en plein air', students

work in & out of studio, using  various drawing mediums & watercolor to develop new skills in a creative & relaxing environment. Workshop includes two off-campus painting trips. Open to all – from beginners to portfolio level. Paintings will be displayed at art, Art and More ART exhibit!  $15 materials fee payable to instructor on the first day of class.  High School

The Art of DRAWING with Marcia Nadeau-Tanner

AD709; Ages 10-100; July 9-20; 9am-noon; $220

All skill levels welcome. Do you have an interest in learning or improving your drawing skills?  We will cover the artist drawing tools, techniques and strategies to draw people, places and things with more accuracy and skill.  Expect to leave knowing how to draw and bring scenes you see to paper.  Sketches will be developed into artworks ready to frame.  Artwork will be displayed in art, Art and More ART exhibit! Sketchbooks and materials will be provided.  A $15 material fee payable to the instructor by the first day of class.

GOT  ART, GOT VISION! With Marcia Nadeau-Tanner

Your artwork and imagination will be your inspiration to create and display your artwork in a variety of ways.  Learn to make wearable art, removable wall art, notecards and more!  Your vision will inspire new ideas.  We will use technology and a variety of artistic methods to achieve your vision. Build new skills, knowledge and inspiration.  The possibilities of displaying your artwork in new and different ways are endless. GOT VISION! Artwork will be displayed in art, Art and More ART exhibit!  A $15 material fee payable to the instructor by the first day of class, will cover planned projects.  However, due to the nature of the course students may have to provide some supplies for their ideas.  High School.

Cooking Fun with Brea Lombardi Plummer!

CF709: Grades 1-6: July 9-13, 9-11:30am; $150

Calling all chefs! Students who participate in the Cooking and Baking class will take part in all aspects of the cooking process. They will wash, chop, measure, stir, bake, simmer, decorate, and eat! Recipes will expose students to a variety of different types of food including breakfasts, main dishes, vegetable dishes, snacks, and desserts. Students will also create their own cookbook to bring home using all the recipes made during the class. **All ingredients used will be peanut/tree nut free. **  There is a $25 supply fee payable to the instructors.  High School. 

Lego™ Engineering by Wicked Cool for Kids!

In this program kids learn some basic engineering principles that will make their own inventions at home more fun and complex. This full contact hands-on program teaches basic engineering concepts, problem solving, & teamwork - all by playing and building with Legos™. We will look at gears, levers, pulleys, and wheels & axles, which are the mechanisms that underpin all the mechanical equipment in our lives. Who knows if the next Dean Kamen (Segway inventor) is living in your house!  PRHS

Wicked Phab Physics Lab by Wicked Cool for Kids!

WC730h: Grade 1-6, July 30-Aug 3; 8:30am-11:30am; $175

Wicked phun physics experiments with matter, motion and energy while learning how these concepts are related. In the morning, things will begin moving as we build the Marble Ski Jump and Ping Pong Catapult. We’ll smash and crash cars learning about inertia and Newton’s laws of motion. The fun continues with hands-on, fun-based explorations on motion, sound, light and heat. Kids that stay the full day will build the Robot of Mystery to take home! Pentucket High.

Wicked Cool Med School by Wicked Cool for Kids!

Is there a doctor in the house? Future doctors will follow the progress of their own "patient" all week, as we journey into the inner workings of the human body. Kids will keep "medical charts" and become anatomy specialists as we learn the body systems, and create model organs, bones, joints and lungs for a healthy human!

  

North Shore YMCA - Camp Trickling Falls

camo tricklin falls.JPGCamp Tricklin’ Falls offers the very best of a traditional camp experience to our campers and their families.

Camp Tricklin’ Falls is a 14 acre camp located in East Kingston, NH along the Powwow River. CTF offers something for everyone. The Powwow River’s waterfront provides swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and river ecology. We have sports covered as well; enjoy basketball, volleyball courts, playing field and baseball field. Adventure and nature are also included on our nature trails, challenge course, 55’ climbing tower, and archery range. A summer camp setting would not be complete without our fun weekly camp wide special events, family nights, arts and crafts, science and nature, camper Adirondack cabins, and amphitheater and stage. Camp Tricklin’ Falls is an ACA accredited camp, the highest standard of quality for day camps. Camp open house dates April 28th, May 12th and May 20th. Cheerleading Clinic with Alison Gadd!

This fast paced super active clinic includes instruction in tumble, dance, jumps, stunts and cheers.  Everyone learns a cheer routine and everyone performs at the Cheer Exhibition.   The award winning staff offers individual and group instruction. All hands on for crafts and fun. Pentucket Varsity Cheerleading Fund Raiser. Tennis Clinic with Amy Beaton!

Come join us for a fun, co-ed learning experience.  Open to abilities, ages 8-16.  Students will be grouped by ability, receive instruction and learn fundamentals and strategy.  Students will be expected to bring snacks, drinks and sunscreen. Please also bring a tennis racquet if you have one available to you. High School tennis courts, or MS Gym if inclement weather.

Pee Wee Summer Sports Clinic

PWS711: Ages 3-6: July 11-15, 8am-noon; $140

Pee Wee Summer Sports clinic is filled with running, jumping, throwing, bouncing, scooter- racing, and more! Children will play imaginative playground games, receive beginner sports instruction, while learning about good sportsmanship, team-work, and improving gross motor skills.  This is a great first time summer clinic experience and tons of healthy movement and fun! Children may be grouped by age. This clinic will take place at Pentucket High.

YMCA Adventure Program

The YMCA Adventure Clinic Program is a fun week of team-building activities, wilderness survival skills, field games, model rocket building, and orienteering scavenger hunts.  This program is a fantastic and fun way for youth to get their physical fitness, build self-esteem, make new friends, and explore adventures in the great outdoors.  Activities are designed to generate discussion about friendship, trust, communication, cooperation, and leadership and to keep kids moving.  For additional information please contact chmielewskim@northshoreymca.org

Sachem Basketball Clinic/School with Leo Parent!

This is Mr. Parent’s 17th year serving as director of this clinic!!  The philosophy of this clinic is to introduce young people to the game of basketball—and to have fun!  By utilizing a variety of fun and positive drills, games and group instruction each participant will be exposed so many different aspects of what basketball has to offer.  Staff will consist of coaches as well as former and current varsity players from the Pentucket High girls and boys basketball programs.  High School Gyms.

Pentucket Community Ed is partnering with

Divinity Farm in Groveland and is offering child riding programs!  Fun with horses, riding, equine education and more. Safety with horses is the foundation of all we do!  This clinic will be held at Divinity Farm, 52 Center St, Groveland, MA.  Drop off and pick up will be at Divinity Farm.

Developing personal leadership is a critical component in bringing today’s youth into the workforce as healthy, productive contributors. The Leadership Academy utilizes a proven process that instills success behaviors along with prevention and reduction of risk behavior. Leadership Academy will be offered this summer for students and student-athletes ages 14 to 18. Sessions are limited to 15 students! Cost is only $149 for 3 days, including the last day at
